Connect with the Spirit of the Dance

Flamenco Lab is a progressive, multilevel training experience rooted in Holistic Flamenco, an approach that develops you as a whole dancer through technique, musicality, embodied awareness, mindful presence and artistic expression.
Here, you move beyond memorizing steps. You learn to ground, breathe, listen, communicate and experience Flamenco from within.

Holistic Flamenco is Claudia de la Cruz’s whole-dancer approach to Flamenco training. It honors the discipline, structure and traditions of the art while recognizing that breath, body, mind, emotions, energy and spirit all enter the studio.
You develop technique and musical understanding while learning to feel grounded, present, expressive and connected. The studio becomes a supportive space where you can rebuild trust in your body and creative voice, allowing Flamenco to move beyond memorized steps and become a living language.
The experience unfolds through five interconnected movements, guiding dancers from inner awareness to confident artistic expression.
You develop stability, breath, body awareness and the confidence to take up space with intention.
You connect body, breath and spirit while learning to listen deeply to the music, cante
and compás.
You discover how your arms, torso, hands, gaze and movement become a powerful expressive language.
You move beyond executing steps, technique, musicality, feeling and intention begin to live within your body.
You bring the work to life with presence, individuality, courage and meaningful connection to the audience.

Flamenco Lab is a living artistic laboratory where dancers explore, practice, reflect and apply. Rather than offering disconnected exercises, each level builds upon the previous one, creating a progressive journey of technical, personal and artistic development.
Each chapter explores a different dimension of the Flamenco journey while contributing to a larger artistic experience.
Previous chapter participation is not required. Dancers may join the chapter that best matches their experience and placement.

SUMMER 2026 · COMPLETED
The inaugural Flamenco Lab established the foundation of the journey through Flamenco technique, compás, castanets, breath, body awareness, confidence and artistic exploration.
Students learned to ground, listen, connect and begin experiencing Flamenco from within.

FALL 2026 · CURRENT PROGRAM
This chapter brings technique, musicality and movement quality into a completely original Sevillanas con Abanico choreography. It is rooted in traditional Flamenco and Spanish Dance, beautifully blended with elements of modern and stylized Spanish dance.
Dancers deepen the conversation between body
and music while integrating Abanico technique, breath,
upper-body expression, musical awareness,
confidence and stage presence.

In this Fall chapter, dancers bring the principles of Flamenco Lab into an original Sevillanas con Abanico choreography created and adapted by Claudia de la Cruz especially for this group.
Rooted in traditional Flamenco and Spanish Dance and beautifully blended with modern and stylized Spanish movement,
the choreography becomes a conversation between body,
music, breath and fan.
Students develop Abanico technique, upper-body expression, musical awareness, confidence and stage presence, learning to move with intention rather than simply memorize steps.
Your $90/month includes a fully original choreography created specifically for this group, hands-on guidance from Claudia in every session, and a focused space designed to complement — not replace — your regular weekly training. This isn’t a large class you move through.
It’s a small group built for dancers ready to go deeper.

Last summer, this group spent eight weeks building the foundation of Flamenco Lab together, learning to ground, connect and perform as artists, not just students. Their testimonials are on their way.
For now, here’s a glimpse of where Chapter I began.
Chapter II is designed for dancers who already know their Sevillanas.
If you’re just starting out, your journey begins here
Flamenco Lab Chapter II is for you if:
• You already know all four Sevillanas and want to deepen your technique, musicality and stage presence.
• You’re enrolled — or ready to enroll — in a regular class at Claudia de la Cruz Flamenco Institute.
• You’re looking for a focused, small-group space to grow as an artist, not just learn steps.
It’s probably not the right fit yet if you’re brand new to Flamenco, and that’s completely okay. Your journey with us starts in our beginner class.
Chapter II meets Saturdays from 10 to 11 AM — right between our 9 AM Beginner class and 11 AM Intermediate/Advanced class, so you can build a full Saturday morning of training around it.
